देश के जाने माने शैक्षिक संस्थानों में से एक JNU आज किसी परिचय का मोहताज नही है, देश को 80,000 से अधिक सोशल एक्टिविस्ट, जर्नलिस्ट,पोलिटिकल लीडर, वैज्ञानिक,मीडिया एक्सपर्ट, आईएएस, पीसीएस, मेनेजर देने वाला देश का एकमात्र संस्थान है.
सीताराम येचुरी, योगेन्द्र यादव, दिग्विजय सिंह,हारुन रशीद,प्रकाश करात तो मात्र वो नाम है जिन्हें आज देश का प्रत्येक नागरिक अच्छे से जानता है. JNU हमेशा से सोशल एक्टिविटी के कारण चर्चा में रहा है, देश के ज्वलंत मुद्दे पर बेबाकी से राय देने के बारे में मशहूर इस संस्थान की देश से अधिक विदेशो में ख्याति है.
