Earrlier today, reports of actor Aamir Khan being removed as the brand ambassador of the Tourism Ministry’s Incredible India campaign came our way. The reports claimed that owing to the controversy that surrounded the actor post his intolerance remark, the Ministry had decided to take the actor off the campaign. However, responding to these reports, the Tourism Ministry has issued a statement terming the reports as a mere rumour and confirming that the actor is very much a part of the campaign and that the Ministry has signed a contract with creative agency, Mc Cann Worldwide to produce several ads featuring Aamir.

The statement issued read, “In response to certain news reports appearing in the media about Shri Aamir Khan, the Ministry of Tourism clarifies that there is no change in the stand of the ministry in this matter.”

“The Ministry further clarifies that at present it has a contractual agreement with a creative agency, Mc Cann Worldwide to produce social awareness campaign and the said campaign featured Shri Aamir Khan.” Courtesy: timesofindia
