इसराइल के प्रधानमन्त्री बेंजामिन नेतान्याहू के भारतीय दौरे पर नेतान्याहू ने बॉलीवुड सितारों से मिलने की अपनी इच्छा जाहिर की थी, जिसके बाद वह 18 जनवरी को अपनी पत्नी सारा के साथ मुंबई में बॉलीवुड के सितारों से मिलें, जिसमे बच्चन समेत ऐश्वर्या बच्चन, अभिषेक बच्चन, करण जौहर, मधुर भंडारकर, विवेक ओबरॉय, प्रसून जोशी और कई फिल्मी हस्तियां मौजूद थीं
इसके बाद नेतान्याहू ने बॉलीवुड सितारों के साथ सेल्फी ली और अपने ट्वीटर अकाउंट पर पोस्ट कर दी, जिसमे उन्होंने कैप्शन लिखा की क्या बॉलीवुड सेल्फी ऑस्कर सेल्फी को हरा पाएगी, नेतान्याहू यहाँ उस सेल्फी की बात कर रहे थे, जो मार्च 2014 को ऑस्कर के दौरान एलन दी जॉनर ने हॉलीवुड कलाकारों के साथ सेल्फी ली थी, जो एक समय तक दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा बार रीट्वीट की गई थी, उस सेल्फी को 34 लाख से भी ज्यादा बार रीट्वीट किया गया था.

नेतन्याहू ने कहा कि पूरी दुनिया बॉलीवुड को प्यार करती है. इजरायल बॉलीवुड को प्यार करता है और मैं भी बॉलीवुड को प्यार करता हूं.
नेतान्याहू की यह सेल्फी वायरल होने के बाद ट्विटर पर लोगों ने अपनी प्रतिक्रिया देना शुरू कर दिया, ट्वीटर पर लोगों का कहना है की “इस सेल्फी में पूरा बॉलीवुड है, परन्तु जिनकी वजह से बॉलीवुड चल रहा है, वह कहाँ है?
ट्विटर पर लोगों का मतलब है की “तीनो खान” (सलमान खान, शाहरुख़ खान और आमिर खान), तीनो खान के नेतान्याहू की सेल्फी में शामिल ना होने की वजह ट्विटर पर लोग “यहूदी’ धर्म को बता रहे हैं.
कई लोगों का कहना है की नेतान्याहू यहूदी हैं यहूदियों ने फिलिस्तीनियों को बहुत ही ज्यादा दर्द, परेशानियाँ दी हैं जिस वजह से तीनो खान दुखी होकर इसमें शामिल नहीं हो पाए, क्योंकि तीनो खान फिलिस्तीन को सपोर्ट करते हैं.
